The Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test, or EAMCET for short, is a common entrance exam for engineering and medical colleges, that is conducted every year. After Telangana split itself from Andhra Pradesh, there are now two types of EAMCET exams: TS EAMCET and AP EMACET. Training students for these competitive exams is a real business in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Therefore, it is no surprise that the coaching industry alone generates a staggering 50 billion rupees each year. One of the major players in this industry are Narayana and Sri Chaitanya. There are around half a million students appearing for these entrance examinations every year and these major players have a large share of the whole pie.The AP EAMCET examination enables students to fetch a seat in Engineering, Medical, or any equivalent courses in Andhra Pradesh. However, after Andhra Pradesh split into Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State the seats are controlled by both Government entities such that students from Telangana State get more importance in their state and the same goes with Andhra Pradesh. EAMCET is usually conducted in the months of April or May which will enable the students to apply for colleges by late May or early June. With all competitive exams now going the online route, the EAMCET did the same in both the states.
What Follows is a Dilemma!
The wait for the AP EAMCET results is short. The students will get their results online, in just two weeks after sitting for their exam. Therefore, students are asked to start searching for the colleges as soon as they appear for the examination as there are very few seats in the best engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh.
Students have to do their research to find out what courses are available in various colleges. After which, they can decide whether or not these interest them. It is completely fine if one is in a dilemma, everyone goes through it. But the sooner we are clear about our goals, the sooner we get closer to achieving them.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has been very consistent in providing the best education system to the aspirants. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has been talking to the Central Government to consider establishing an IIT as well as an NIT to boost the Quality of Education and Research in the field of Agriculture.
Engineering Courses & The Changing Landscape
Candidates that are sitting for their AP EAMCET are also required to upload relevant documents along with the list of their preferred colleges, as part of their counseling. There are a lot of courses and engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh to choose from, but engineering courses still remain the most popular option for most. An engineer is required to think practically yet come up with out of the box ideas which can be implemented to existing problems. There are a lot of Professors who keep motivating their students to work on the public problems to come up with breakthrough solutions. The 4-year course not only enhances the science and engineering aspect of a student but also enables to make decisions according to the situation to face the uncertainty and ambiguity in order to manage risk. Professors from all engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh also make sure that the course is technologically oriented and up to date, so that students make use of the technology to the fullest. Engineering studies is a continuous learning process and an engineer keeps learning and updating himself with knowledge and new skills.
